SAFETY WARNINGS AND RULES

WARNINGS

– After having removed the packaging,

make sure that the supplied product is

intact and complete in all its parts. If

this is not the case, please contact the

Dealer who supplied the product.

– The system must be used as intended

Sime

which cannot be held liable for

any harm caused to people or damage

to animals or objects due to incorrect

installation, adjustment or maintenan-

ce and improper use of the appliance.

– In order to ensure optimal efficiency of

the product,

Sime

recommends perfor-

ming maintenance and check on an

AN-

NUAL

basis.

–

All operators are advised

to read this

manual carefully in order to use the ap-

pliance in a safe and logical manner.

– In agreement with the end user of the

appliance, consider all the details that

guarantee safe and correct installation.

These details refer to the selection of

the installation position, the direction,

the arrangement of piping, the suitable

surface area, etc.

– The installation position must not be

under the shade of trees or other ob-

stacles throughout the entire year.

– The product’s installation must conform

to the local electrical and plumbing re-

gulations.

– For optimal efficiency, the appliance

should be facing southwards in the nor-

thern hemisphere and the opposite way

in the southern hemisphere. Should

this not be possible, it can be positio-

ned 30° East if DHW is requested before

14:00 or 30° West if DHW is requested

after 14:00. In both cases, the thermal

loss will not exceed 6% per year.

WARNINGS

– If the system is positioned on a roof with

a pitch below 15° or above 30°, another

type of equipment must be used instead

of the standard support frame.

– For installation on pitched roofs, the

frame must be positioned by ensuring

that the water tank lies exactly above a

horizontal support and never between

two pillars.

– If the surface on which the appliance

will be installed is not compatible with

the standard equipment supplied, spe-

cial components must be used.

– The device must be chosen and instal-

led by the installer in agreement with

the end user.

– When the appliance must be installed

on a pitched roof, the brackets must be

fastened with bolts guaranteeing cor-

rect and safe installation.

– In areas subject to heavy snowfall, it

is very important to ensure that snow

does not accumulate behind the water

tank and that the standard frame is able

to withstand the weight of the snow.

– Special care must also be taken when

installing the appliance in areas subject

to extremely windy conditions.

– The pipes of both the solar unit and the

cold/hot water for the building must be

adequately insulated.

– Only qualified technicians must fill the

closed circuit and connect it. Before

the closed circuit is filled with the he-

at-transfer fluid, the water tank must

be completely filled.
