– Uncover the collectors and clean the glass by removing all the
informative stickers.
– Check that there are no leakages and make sure that the pi-
pes connecting the collectors and the calorifiers, as well as the
cold and hot water pipes, are adequately insulated to prevent
heat losses and to protect them against frost.
– Once the installation has been completed, the system must be
left for 24 hours without using hot water and only then can the
closed circuit be operated.
The
ANTI-FREEZE LIQUID
is a product based on propylene glycol
capable of guaranteeing effective heat-transfer properties at
both high and low temperatures.
It is non-toxic and protects up to –37°C (55% volume/volume so-
lution with water).
It is specifically designed for offering excellent anti-corrosion
properties.
In watery solutions, the anti-freeze liquid protects in relation to
its degree of dilution, as shown in the table below.

Electrical connections
Wiring diagram - general rules
The heating element must be used only in case of emergency.
The electrical connections of the solar system must be made by
a qualified technician in accordance with the local standards in
force and according to the rules and regulations applicable in the
building where the system is installed.
The system’s heating element must not be activated with the ca-
lorifier empty! In this happens, the heating element's warranty
shall be voided.
NOTE
: the heating element’s rating depends on the local regula-
tions in force in the country of use.
– Remove the screws from the protective device covering the
electrical components (Drawing 1).
Fig. 14
– To connect the heating element to the mains, a power cable
with 3x4 mm² cross-sectional size (for a 4 kW heating element)
is required (Drawing 2).
Fig. 15
– Pass the end of the cable through the seal and towards the
electrical components.
– Connect the black wire (live) to the L connector and the blue
wire (neutral) to the N connector on the thermostat. Connect
the yellow wire (earth) to the small M4 screw present on the he-
ating element and marked with the earth symbol (Drawing 3).

– The thermostat is connected to the heating element in the fac-
tory. Adjust the thermostat to 60°C.
a
WARNING
The thermostat must be correctly applied to the heating
element (Fig. 14).
– Close the cover of the electrical components.
