5. Installation
Warning:
- Electrical installation, maintenance and repair must only be carried out by a skilled
electrical engineer and in accordance with national and local regulations.
- The CM5 must be properly earthed. Earthing is needed to ensure proper operation of
the equipment and to avoid electrical shocks upon contact.
- Disconnect the power supply before carrying out work on the unit.
5.1. Advance Check
- Check that the equipment is undamaged and that you have received the correct version.
- Check that the details on the packing slip correspond to the details of the product received.
- Check that the voltage shown on the rating plate corresponds to the (mains) voltage you
intend to use.

5.2. IQ Com Generator Converter mounting
Place the IQ Com in a visible, easily accessible, stable place on or near the machine and close
to the CM5 Chargemaster.
Note:
- Do not install IQ Com in a dusty or damp environment or in an environment where
chemicals or other corrosive materials are used.
