6.2 List of Security Parameters

Passwords (Basic, Advanced, and Admin User): Used to login to the radio as either Basic,
Advanced, or Admin user.
o
Encryption Key (also called RF-Auth-Key): This is a 256-bit sequence, represented as 64 hex
numbers. It is used to establish an encrypted connection in a network.
o
SSH Host Key: This key is used for authenticating the radio to all machines that want to connect
to it via SSH.
o
SSH Login Key(s): These are ecdsa private/public key pairs. They are used for authorizing SSH
access to the radios. These key pairs are used instead of passwords since they are more secure.
o
TLS Host Key (also called HTTPS Certificate): This certificate is used to establish a HTTPS
connection. The underlying elliptic curve keys can be either secp256r1, secp384r1, or secp521r1.
