8. Short Circuit Test for the
Receptacle Assembly
Switch the multimeter to the short circuit test mode.
Insert a conductor into the circuit input socket (such
as a needle) in testing this cable. Contact one of the
probes (the pole is irrelevant) to the installed metal
conductor and contact the other to the conductors in
the receptacle. A continuous audible signal shall be
issued from the multimeter and a fixed value shall be
displayed on the screen in this condition. Otherwise,
the cord is damaged.

Motor Current Ratings
This measurement is performed under energy.
A clamp meter is needed to make this measurement.
The speed cable to be measured must pass through
the middle of the clamp meter. Adjustment is brought
to AC stage. The engine may be started at any
speed. The power value is calculated by applying the
current output in the formula below. The calculated
power value must be below the rated power value.
