3. Switch Qualification Test
While the multimeter is set in the short-circuit
position, the arrangement of the probes are changed
to the pins marked below by inserting a metal (e.g.
needle) into the corresponding pins of the cable
according to the socket input: One of the props is
butted to pin #7. The other probe is butted to the
following pins respectively;
It is butted to pin #9, then SC1 is pressed. If it is
functioning the multimeter should indicate a short
circuit. It is butted to pin #8, then SC2 is pressed. If
it is functioning the multimeter should indicate a
short circuit. It is butted to pin #1, then SC3 is
pressed. If it is functioning the multimeter should
indicate a short circuit.

The indicator should show 220V at the AC voltage
level of the multimeter (Range: Auto or Range:100)
