Cleaning the hygienic
exhaust filter
The
hygienic exhaust filter
filters very fine particles from
the exhaust air stream.
Checking:
Check the hygienic exhaust filter regularly, at
least every 3 – 6 months.
Cleaning:
If you find that the filter is dirty, clean it as de-
scribed below:
1.
Switch off the appliance.
2.
Press down the release catch of the exhaust filter cover
(Fig. 26).
3.
Fold down the exhaust filter cover (Fig. 27).
4.
Remove the hygienic exhaust filter by pulling the tab
provided for this purpose (Fig. 28).
5.
Clean the hygienic exhaust filter by tapping out the dirt in-
to a dustbin. If this proves to be insufficient, remove the
dirt with a soft brush, e.g. the furniture brush supplied
with the appliance.
6.
If such dry cleaning is not sufficient, subsequently rinse
the filter in clear, cold or lukewarm water.
7.
If the hygienic exhaust filter is damaged or deformed,
replace it with a new one

and spare Parts"
.
8.
Insert the cleaned/new hygienic exhaust filter with the
wide edge facing up (Fig. 28). Push it down firmly until
it is completely inside its holder.
9.
Attach the exhaust filter cover at the bottom side first
(Fig. 29/1.) and then fold it shut (Fig. 29/2.) until you
hear and feel it snapping into place.
ATTENTION:
The filter is washable, but it may not be cleaned in dish-
washers or washing-machines. Do not use chemical
cleansers to clean the filter. After rinsing the filter ele-
ment, let it dry for approx. 24 hours at room temperature.
Only put it back into the appliance when it is completely
dry.
NOTE:
Make sure that that the hygienic exhaust filter is always
properly fitted and the exhaust filter cover is completely
locked into position, otherwise the exhaust air will not be
properly filtered.
