Cleaning and maintenance

Clean the exterior surfaces of the appliance and the mains cable

dampened cloth. For more stubborn dirt and for cleaning the insides of the

add some mild detergent to the cloth. Dry the pot

thoroughly before re-using the appliance. Ensure that there is no
detergent residue in the pot

before using the appliance again.

If there are deposits in or on the pot

, use a washing-up brush or sponge
and warm water with washing-up liquid to loosen the deposits. Rinse out the
pot

thoroughly with fresh water afterwards.
Descaling
Scale deposits on the bottom of the appliance lead to increased energy con-
sumption and reduce the service life of the appliance. Descale the appliance as
soon as scale deposits become apparent.

Use a descaler that is suitable for food containers in household appliances
(e.g. coffee machines). Proceed as described in the usage instructions for the
descaling agent.

After descaling, rinse the appliance out with plenty of fresh water.
