Minor smoke development can occur when the device is heated first. For this reason, the
device should be filled with water, heated and then left to cool again before preparing food
for the first time. During this process, open a window to ensure sufficient room ventilation.
1.
Clean the slow cooker and all its accessories. For more on this, please refer to the
"Maintenance/cleaning" section on page 27.

Place the heater unit (8) on an even, non-slip and dry surface. Do not connect the power cord (10)
plug to the mains socket yet!
3.
Place the ceramic pan (4) into the heater unit (8).
4.
Fill the ceramic pan (4) with 500 ml of water.
5.
Place the glass lid (2) on the ceramic pan (4).
6.
Check that the control dial (7) is in the OFF position.
7.
Connect the power cord (10) plug to a live mains socket.
8.
Turn the control dial (7) to the HIGH position. The power indicator (5) lights up and the device
begins heating up.
9.
After approx. 60 minutes, you can move the control dial (7) back to the OFF position to switch the
device off.
10.
Disconnect the power cord (10) plug from the mains socket.
11.
Once the device has cooled down completely, clean it again. It is then ready to use.
7.1 Setting up the slow cooker

Place the heater unit (8) on an even, non-slip and dry surface. Do not connect the power cord (10)
plug to the mains socket yet!
2.
Place the ceramic pan (4) into the heater unit (8).
3.
Place the glass lid (2) on the ceramic pan (4).
4.
Check that the control dial (7) is in the OFF position.
8. Usage
Warning!
Only use the device in dry, enclosed spaces. Never use it outdoors.
Place the slow cooker on an even, stable and heat-resistant surface only. If the slow
cooker is not placed on an even surface, the movement of the boiling contents could
make it tip over, possibly causing damage to property and burns.
