2) Open the appliance lid. Push a rod or similar into the holes on the hinge
mountings on the rear of the appliance and pull the lid up and out of the
hinge mountings at the same time
3) Remove the frying basket - .
■ The frying basket

can be cleaned in the dishwasher. It is dishwasher-safe.
However, remove the handle beforehand.
■ As soon as the fat/oil has cooled down, tip it out of the frying container
(see section “Changing the cooking oil or fat”).
NOTE
Before first use, the frying basket - must be rinsed by hand. Before cleaning
the frying basket

in the dishwasher, it must be dipped into oil.
Dry the frying basket

well before re-use.
■ Clean the handle , the permanent metal filter , the fondue skewers 3
and the fondue ring

in warm water with a little mild washing-up liquid.
Afterwards, rinse all the parts off using clean water.
■ Clean the housing and the frying container with a damp cloth. If required,
use a mild washing-up liquid on the cloth. Afterwards, wipe clean with a
cloth moistened only with water to ensure that no detergent remains in the
frying container
. Dry the housing and the frying container thoroughly.
