During and after use

What to expect when using the hair remover

During a session with the hair remover it is normal to experience the following:

• A whirring noise similar to that of a hairdryer:

this is the cooling fan inside the device.

• A popping noise with each light pulse: the popping noise is generated

simultaneously with the flash of light when the HPL™ light is activated.

• Slight pressure from the treatment surface: this creates subtle pressure

marks on the skin to help you when using the pulsating method to position

the next light pulse more easily.

• A sensation of warmth and tingling: during each light pulse it is normal to

feel a mild warm and tingling sensation from the light energy.

• Slightly red or pink skin color: during or immediately after a session it is

not uncommon for the skin to appear very slightly pink. This discoloration

is most visible immediately around the hair roots. However, if the skin is

completely red, blistered or burnt, stop using the device immediately.
