Hardware Replacement Procedures

Replacing Node Board Processors

Caution:

When handling the processor, avoid placing direct pressure on the label area

of the fan.

Caution:

Do not place the node board on a conductive surface. A conductive surface can

damage the BIOS battery and prevent the system from booting. Always place the node
board on an ESD-safe worksurface.

Remove the graphics card in accordance with the instructions on

page 69

2. Remove the air baffles from the chassis (refer to

Figure 3-16

4. Press the load lever down and away from the retention clasp to release the load

plate from its locked position.
