Ordering, Removing and Installing Parts

Replacing the Power Supply

To replace the power supply, you’ll shut down the system, remove the power supply,
and, when you receive a replacement, use the information below to install it.

Shutting Down the System

To shut down the system, follow these steps:

1.

Shut down and turn off the system.

■

From the System toolchest, choose “System Shutdown.” The toolchests are
shown in Figure 6-29.

■

Turn off the power switch on the back of the Indigo chassis.

2. Disconnect the power cables from the back of the Indigo chassis.

■

Disconnect both the system power cable and the monitor power cable.
