Ordering, Removing and Installing Parts

Replacing the CPU Module

To replace the CPU module on the Indigo R4000 family CPU board, follow these
instructions:

1.

Locate the CPU module.

Note:

The CPU module on your workstation may look different than the one shown

in Figure 6-24.

■

The CPU module is the large elevated module on the CPU board. It is protected
by a metal shield.

2. Ground yourself to the metal part of the CPU board.

■

Keeping the wrist strap around your wrist, attach the alligator clip to a metal
part of the CPU board.
