Compression Connector Caution

Caution:

The compression connector on the XIO Tri-Module is very delicate and easily

damaged. Do not touch or bump the gold bristled pad (see Figure 1-8). The connector is
on the side opposite the handle, as shown in Figure 1-9. Do not grab the back of the XIO
Tri-Module when you remove it, or the compression connector may be damaged.

Always place a cap on the compression connector after removing the XIO Tri-Module
(caps are included with your workstation). Before reinstalling the XIO Tri-Module in
your workstation, remove the cap from the compression connector.

Before you remove the XIO Tri-Module, read “Care and Cleaning of the Compression
Connector” in the Appendix section of your owner’s guide.
