The timeslot 16, conforming to G.704 recommendation, is reserved for
signaling.
The timeslot 16 must be included in a list of transmitted timeslots
regardless of other timeslots if equipment connected by the modems
requires a signaling channel, e.g. telco devices.

channels and the timeslot 16 is used to transmit signaling. The modem
