3-Wire Circuit Connection
To connect to a three-wire circuit, follow these steps:
1
Connect the green ground wire and the white
neutral wire on the rangetop to the white or gray
neutral wire on the branch circuit, using a wire
nut.
2
Following local codes, connect the red wire on
the rangetop to the red (L2) wire on the branch
circuit using a wire nut.
3
Following local codes, connect the black wire on
the rangetop to the black (L1) wire on the branch
circuit, using a wire nut. If the house wiring uses
aluminum conductors, see the WARNING on the
previous page.
4
Install the junction box cover.

4-Wire Circuit Connection
To connect to a four-wire circuit, follow these steps:
1
Separate the ground and white wires on the
rangetop if necessary.

Following local codes, connect the green ground
wire on the rangetop to the green ground wire
on the branch circuit, using a wire nut. If the
house wiring uses aluminum conductors, see the
WARNING on the previous page.
3
Following local codes, connect the white wire on
the rangetop to the white or gray neutral wire on
the branch circuit, using a wire nut.
4
Following local codes, connect the red wire on
the rangetop to the red (L2) wire on the branch
circuit, using a wire nut.

Following local codes, connect the black wire on
the rangetop to the black (L1) wire on the branch
circuit, using a wire nut. If the house wiring uses
aluminum conductors, see the WARNING on the
previous page.
