There are several ways of exchanging safe signals between different PLCs using SCP111.

According to topology there is the following distinction:

Connection via VBC021 (requires a VaranManager on both PLCs)

Connection via VMC052 (requires a VaranManager on the higher-level PLC, the lower-level
PLC must be a C-IPC with VMC052 plug-in card)
