Chapter I: SAC 3600 fingerprint reader controller
I. Brief introduction
The high security (unique biological characteristics) and convenience (without card
or code) of fingerprint recognition has achieved a leap-forward for development of access
system. This technology has found widespread application in such areas including banks,
military facilities, labs, computer rooms, enterprises and public undertakings. Fingerprint
recognition will be used more widely for more and more assess systems.
SAC 3600 fingerprint reader controller is a kind of fingerprint recognition device for
door access system. The reading function transmits verified fingerprint information to
access controller by the format of Wiegand26 or Wiegand34. The access controller
determines legitimacy of the data and acts accordingly. The working principle is similar to
common ID/IC card reader and they are completely compatible.
The standard output of SAC 3600 fingerprint controller makes it compatible to almost
all Wiegand26 and Wiegand34 access controllers in the market. It can also be directly
fitted with electronic locks. The result of fingerprint analysis is output by Wiegand signal
from the reader, and there is also a relay output, allowing direct control of electronic lock
with outside power supply. The fingerprint reader is applicable for both fingerprint and
inductive card, convenient for upgrade of any existing or new door access system. This
fingerprint recognition device has found the widest application in the door access control
sector.
