Energy management
You can connect your appliance to your
smart energy system (Energy manager).
Once you have connected your
appliance to the smart energy system
(Energy manager) and activated the
FlexStart
function, you will be able to
optimise your energy consumption
because your appliance will not start up
until your home photovoltaic system can
provide sufficient energy or the energy
tariff is good.

Notes
■
The smart energy system (Energy
manager) must use the EEBus
initiative communications standard.
■
Before you start, read the smart
energy system instruction manual to
find out how to connect your
appliance to the smart energy
system (Energy manager).
You can connect FlexStart to the smart
energy system (Energy manager) as
follows:
1.
Switch on the appliance.
2.
Press and hold
}
for at least
3 seconds.
‘ž£
(connect automatically) will
appear on the display.
3.
Set the programme to position 7.
“Ÿ®
(Energy manager) will appear
on the display.
4.
Press
I
(Start/Pause).
The appliance will now connect to your
smart energy system (Energy manager).
If the appliance has connected to the
smart energy system (Energy manager)
successfully,
™©Ÿ
(connected) and

will appear on the display.
If the appliance has previously been
connected to the smart energy system
(Energy manager), you have
disconnected the appliance from the
smart energy system (Energy manager).
will appear on the display.
5.
Press

briefly to exit the Home
Connect settings.
Notes
■
If a connection to the Energy
manager could not be established,

(error) will appear on the
display.
■
Check that the Energy manager has
been correctly installed.
■
Try connecting to the Energy
manager again.
FlexStart
Activate the
FlexStart
function to allow
your smart energy system (Energy
manager) to start your appliance once
your home photovoltaic system is able
to provide sufficient energy or the
energy tariff is good.
Note:
Your smart energy system
(Energy manager) cannot start your
appliance until it is connected to the
appliance.
Activate
FlexStart as follows:
1.
Select the programme you require.
2.
Use the

and

selection buttons
for the "Finished in" time to set the
required time.
