INSTALLATION
Remove all system power before
installation, battery first and then AC.
(To power up, connect the AC first
and then the battery.)
1. Remove the card from its protective bag.
2. Refer to the function section of the CSG-M
configuration printout for the address of the
VSM-1 module that is used for the VSA-1.
3. Set the module address for the VSA-1 on
switch S1 using dipswitches SW1-SW6.
a. Refer to Figure 1 for the location of S1 on
the module.
b. Refer to Table 1 for the correct switch
settings.
c. Set the address (See Note below).

NOTE:
To open a dipswitch,
press down on the side of the dip-
switch marked OPEN. To close a dipswitch, press down on
the side of the dipswitch opposite the side marked OPEN.
To open a slide switch,
push the slide to the side opposite the
side marked ON. To close a slide switch, push the slide to the
side marked ON.
MOUNTING
Refer to Figure 2
Before mounting each VSA-1 module, check the
labels and the address setting of S1 on the front
of the module.
1. With the custom annunciator backbox open,
mount the snaptrack to the back of the box
using the double-sided tape. Take care to
mount the snaptrack carefully as it is difficult to
remove the snaptrack once it is in place.
2. Female header connectors should be pre-
wired and assigned to modules by the
custom annunciator manufacturer as shown in
Figure 3.
3. Mount the VSA-1 module on its correspond-ing
snap track by pushing it firmly into place.
Connect the female pin header connector as
assigned by the custom annunciator
manufacturer.
4. VSA-1 modules do not need to be mounted in
numeric order by address. (Refer to the
custom annunciator placement layout.)
