Assigning static IP addresses to individual PCs
Even if you have activated the DHCP server you can still assign a static IP address to indi-
vidual PCs (e.g. when setting up these PCs for NAT functions).
ì
Enter the
MAC address
and the name of the PC in the
Device name
field.
ì
Enter the
IP address
you wish to assign to the PC in the field below.
ì
Click the
Add
button to add the entry to the list.
ì
Click the
Delete
button to delete the entry from the list.
ì
Apply the settings by clicking
OK
.
Configuring wireless connections
If PCs are communicating wirelessly via the Gigaset SX763 WLAN dsl, you should also
improve the security of your wireless network. This configuration is made via the
Advanced Settings
–
Wireless Network
menu. You can carry out the following here:

Activate the wireless module of the Gigaset SX763 WLAN dsl (for information see
below)

Set up the channel and
u
Set up
for wireless transmissions (page 80)
u
Restrict access to the LAN of the Gigaset SX763 WLAN dsl (page 80) and
u
Configure the repeater function on the Gigaset SX763 WLAN dsl.
