Water penetration may damage the braking resistor.

For outdoor installations, a hood must be provided to protect it from precipitation in

accordance with degree of protection IP20.

Note
Braking resistor/fire alarm sensor interaction

If a braking resistor is placed underneath a fire alarm sensor, then the heat produced may

trigger the fire alarm sensor.
