6.2 Transportation and storage
WARNING
Danger to life when lifting and transporting
Improper lifting and transport procedures, unsuitable or damaged lifting gear and load
handling equipment can cause death, severe injury and/or material damage.
•
Only use suitable and intact lifting gear and load handling equipment which comply with
the specific national regulations.
• Only use lifting gear and load handling equipment which are suitable for the weight of
the motor. The weight of the motor appears on the rating plate.
• Do not attach any additional loads to lifting gear and load handling equipment.
• Only use suitable strap-guiding systems rope guides and spreading devices for lifting and
transporting the motor.
Transport and store the built-in motors in the original packaging.
Transporting
Note
Observe the country-specific regulations.
• Fasten the load suspension device to the provided locations of the packaging or the
motor.
• Transport the motor carefully.
• Avoid any jerky and oscillating movements during transport.
If a motor is not installed immediately after the delivery, it must be stored appropriately.
Observe the following storage conditions.
