Ground Connection

The ground of the auxiliary supplies is electrically connected to the ground of the
CPU; in other words, you must connect pin 48 (M) to the ground of the CPU with
low resistance.

In the case of external encoder supply, you must also establish a low-resistance
connection between the ground of the external encoder supply and the ground of
the CPU.
