SIMATIC Box PC 620 Manual

6. Proceed in the reverse order to fit the new drive. The new drive must be of the

same type as the one removed.

Removing 2,5 “ drives

1. Undo the 4 screws on the back of the housing.

2. Open the drive holder.

3. Detach the drive holder from the mounting and lay the drive holder with its top

on the housing.

4. Note the cable assignment and pull off the cables from the motherboard.

5. Release the four screws used in attaching the two hard disks to the holder.

6. Remove the defective hard disk drive including the mounting plate from the hol-

der. For the assignment of the drives (IDE1 or 2 drive), refer to the printed infor-
mation on the holder.

7. Remove the cable plus the power supply adapter circuit board.

8. When installing the new drive, carry out the instructions in a reversed order.

The new drive must be of the same type as the drive removed (2.5” format, the
memory capacity must be at least as high as the previous one).

Notice

Please take care to connect the cable on the connector coding to the socket
properly.
