9. Maintenance

This section describes in detail how to maintain Sicore II cameras.

Mains voltages are used to power the DC power supplies. Care should be
taken to ensure all sources of mains voltages are isolated before working
on the equipment.

The Sicore II camera contains no user serviceable parts and is shipped from the factory as a
sealed unit. If any form of service is required within the unit it should be returned to a
Siemens approved service facility.

Periodic inspection and cleaning of the external elements of the camera is recommended:

•

Cleaning of the camera window. This should be done with water and a soft cloth
using a light detergent if necessary.

•

Check the mountings. Check that all fixings are tight and mounting components
have not degraded.

•

Check the cable integrity – replace if connectors or sheath are damaged.
