Port number request
Click OK to check the port number. At that point, the associated field shows the
type of information found (e.g. Last IP connected) and you can to use the field
arrow controls to show the actual IP address.
Note: If the IP address shows ‘0.0.0.0’, no PC was connected to that port.
Read HW version
Reads the NK8237 hardware version (NKM8001-A1, NKM8001-A2, …).
Note: NK8237 MP4.40 or later firmware is required.
Read PIC24FW Ver
Reads the PIC24 microcontroller firmware version.
Note: NK8237 MP4.40 or later firmware is required.
Read WDT Status
Reads the NK823x watchdog status (enabled or disabled).
Note: NK8237 MP4.40 or later firmware is required.
Read Mass Storage
Reads a mass storage device (USB mass storage device or SD card) available on
the NK8237 unit. Right-click the icon of the connected mass storage device (the
icons display in the box at right) to show the available commands:
Show info: show information about the connected mass storage device.
Unmount: command needed to safely remove the mass storage device.
Set as Log storage: set the selected device (USB mass storage device or SD
card, if both are available on the system) as the active storage device.
Set Default Log
Restores the NK8237 log settings as set in Composer.
Protocol Info
Opens the NK Protocols window, which allows to configure the NK8237 logging on
the fly (see Using log files [➙ 54]).
Read Logging Status
Reads the NK8237 logging status: Active, Inactive, Active (Modified) after on-the-
fly configuration changes have been set.
Read Firewall Status
Reads the NK8237 firewall status: Enabled, Disabled.
