3.11.3 Descaling
programme
The descaling programme lasts approx.
20 minutes
. The display runs
through the descaling programme.

Empty container and press steam button

indicated.

Empty and re-insert drip tray and capsule container.

Fill agent + water and press steam button

►
Mix 100 ml descaling agent (mat. no. 31 0451) and 500 ml
water and pour into the empty water tank.
►
Place adequately large receptacles of approx. 600 ml each
under the steam pipe and the coffee outlet.

The solution runs through the steam pipe into the receptacle first, then
into the drip tray and finally through the coffee outlet.
Display:
Empty container

Empty, clean and re-insert drip trays and capsule container.
Display:
Fill water and press steam button
is indicated.
►
Rinse out the water tank thoroughly and fill with 500 ml water.
►
Place the empty receptacles under the coffee outlet and
steam pipe.

Rinsing
is indicated.
The appliance is rinsed first into the drip tray then through the coffee
outlet and finally through the steam pipe until the water tank has been
emptied
Display:
Empty container
is indicated.

Empty, clean and re-insert drip trays and capsule container.
Ready
is displayed again.
The descaling alarm is automatically cancelled.
If the descaling process is terminated, the descaling alarm is not
cancelled and the appliance requests the customer to completely
rinse the appliance according to the instructions on the display.
If inadequate descaling solution or inadequate fresh
rinsing water was poured into the appliance, the
appliance moves back one step and the prompt to
add descaling solution or water is redisplayed.
