6.15.2 Connect 'PACE-Net' Ethernet
The switches are used to build a 'PACE-Net' communication network and to
connect 'PACE-Net' digital audio matrices, 'PACE-Net' call stations, Cerberus
PACE systems or a PC with the configuration tool 'PACE-Design' installed.
The 2 separate, identical Ethernet switches can be used to build a fully redundant
network in tree or chain structure or to extend the amount of 'PACE-Net' Ethernet
connections.

Table 56: PN2001-A1 switch A and switch B connectors
The SC fiber optic port is used with multi-mode cable and works with a wavelength
of 1310 nm.
Use the fiber optic adapter 'D-Link DEM-211 FOI Adapter' PNA2004-A1 for a fiber
optic connection to 'Planet IGS-10020MT Ethernet Switch' PN2005-A1 switch or to
'Planet IGT-805AT Media Converter' PN2007-A1 media converter.
The amount of 'PACE-Net' Ethernet connections can be extended by a connection
between the switch A and the switch B.
● Connection with 2 copper ports results in 6 available CAT5 copper Ethernet
ports (RJ45, 10/100/1000Base-T) and 2 fiber-optic ports (duplex SC)
● Connection with 2 fiber-optic ports results in 8 available CAT5 copper Ethernet
ports (RJ45, 10/100/1000Base-T) and no fiber-optic port (duplex SC)
A redundant Ethernet connection can be established by connecting port A (ETH A)
with port A (ETH A) and port B (ETH B) with port B (ETH B) of other 'PACE-Net'
components. If the connection on port A fails, the 'PACE-Net' components use
automatically port B for the communication.
