Connection
Auxiliary Voltage X2
Connect the auxiliary voltage using the terminals X2 on the underside of the device. The assignment of the
terminals is printed on the front of the device, see
2.2.1 Arrangement . As the device does not have its own
switch, this must be installed externally.
Terminals:
Conductor cross-section (single wire or stranded wire) 1.5 mm
2 to 2.5 mm 2
Recommended stripping length
3 mm to 5 mm (with crimp terminals)
Fault-Signaling Connection X7
The terminals X7 are equipped with an isolated contact that is automatically closed by the device in case of an
error.
The assignment of the terminals is printed on the front of the device, see
2.2.1 Arrangement .

Use only optical fibers pre-assembled as per the regulations (order number 6XV8100 or 6XV8200).

After connecting to the device, tighten the screws on the D-sub plug connector.
•
When routing fiber-optic cables, pay attention to the prescribed bending radius.

Make sure that you comply with the permissible optical budget (see Optical Interface, Page 43 ).

Pay attention to the fiber-optic cable types and radii (see Optical Interface, Page 43 ).

Connect the fiber-optic cable via the ST connectors with the appropriate fiber-optic elements.

Transmit diodes are identified with Tx, and receive diodes are identified with Rx. The fiber-optic cables
must be crossed, that is, the fiber-optic cable must be routed from the transmitter to the receiver and
vice versa.
