The receiving optical connectors are marked with Rx, the transmitting 
connections with Tx.  
 

4.5 Switch

The DIP switches can be actuated from outside. For standard 
applications the mini star coupler can directly be applied with its factory 
pre-settings, i.e: 
 

•

  All FO transmitters/receivers set to „light off in idle state“ 

•

  Cascading for star configuration 

•

 RS232-interface 

disabled

Note: 

If the switch S1/1 is set to ring configuration, the signals are generally 
mirrored to the Master (echo). This also applies to the star configuration.  
With various devices or pc applications this may lead to failures.
