General Information
Target group of this documentation
• This documentation is intended for use by assembly companies and end users.
• All installation work described in this document is to be performed by experienced professionals only
who have training and practice in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of ventilation
units. Safe and proper assembly of this unit is not possible without expert knowledge.
• All instructions on operation and maintenance described here are intended for end users.
• After the successful assembly, the installation company is committed to handing over the assembly
instructions to the end user.
Intended use
• The AEROMAT mini is a passive air ventilator for installation in the top third of timber, PVC and
aluminium windows and French doors.
• The AEROMAT mini in connection with motorised ventilation units is only conditionally suitable as an
outlet for exhaust and supply air. An inspection of the entire system, according to the ventilation
concept, must be carried out prior to installation.
• Ensure that the air channels are unobstructed:
- Depending on the profile system and profile geometry, as well as blocking the rebate by
hardware components, the volume flow can be reduced.
- The performance of window system testing is recommended.
• Under extreme weather conditions, condensation may form in the air canal or in the groove of the
hardware, depending on the particular installation situation. This is a physical effect and does not
indicate a defect.
• AEROMAT mini is only to be used if it is in a technically sound condition, and no modifications may
be made to the unit and/or its components.
• Keep ventilation openings free and do not block them with furniture or other objects.
• Only use AEROMAT mini with original accessories from .SIEGENIA
• In the event of a fault, have AEROMAT mini checked and repaired by experienced specialists only.
• For windows with concealed bottom and top hinges, the optional turn lock can only be installed
horizontally in the top and in the locking side.
Improper use
• The AEROMAT mini may not be installed vertically at the bottom of the frame.
