Checking the incremental encoder

If the incremental encoder has been connected correctly, the following LEDs should flash
when the conveying equipment is running:
Controller type

MSC800
INC
terminal block, LEDs on the
INC_1
and
INC_2
connection.
If the LEDs do not flash, possible causes might be:
Cause
Remedy
There is no/insufficient
contact between the
measuring wheel and the
conveying equipment.
▸
Make sure that there is good contact between
the measuring wheel and the conveying equipment
on-site.
▸
If the measuring wheel shows signs of wear,
replace it.
Signal ground not activated.
▸
Set the
SGND_4
signal ground switch to
ON
.
Wire is not correctly attached
in the terminal block.
Check that the wires are attached correctly.
Encoder is defective.
Replace the device.
