5.2 Replacing the SK20.2

If replacement of the signal converter is necessary in the case of service,

the following procedure is recommended:
1. Check whether the replacement converter corresponds to the

replacement. All parts of the type designation must be identical. If there

are differences, contact your dealer.

2. Make a note of all DIP switch settings and cable assignment, if not

already done. This will be needed later for the new signal converter.

3. Switch off power supplies U1 and U2 and secure against being

switched on again.

4.  Disconnect the cables.
5.  Disassemble defective signal converter.
6.  Set the DIP switch settings on the new signal converter.
7.  Mount new signal converter. In doing so, observe the notes from

chapter 3.1.

8.  Reattach the earth connection.
9.  Reconnect all cables.
10.  Connect voltages U1 and U2 to the new signal converter.
11.  Further commissioning of the new signal converter as described in

Chapter 4. Observe safety instructions.

12. Send the defective signal converter back to the dealer.
