Installation and User’s Guide
Inspection and Reception
Check the product upon receipt. After removing the equipment from its packaging, check the shipping documents
and check if there has been any damage to the equipment, due to loading and transportation. If any irregularity
has been found, such as a lack of components or any damage to the equipment, notify the person responsible for
transport and your dealer immediately.
Installation
Install the pump as close to the pool or spa as possible, in accordance with local electrical, hydraulic and
pool regulations to reduce friction losses in the pipeline and improve the pump’s efficiency.
In order to keep the pump constantly primed, which facilitates its operation and
accelerates the beginning of water circulation, we recommend, if possible, installing the
pump below the
pool´s water level. When there are no means of achieving this, it must be
installed at the lowest possible pool’s water level, and never above 2 meters from the water level.
Most common accidents due to accidental suction:
Hair Entanglement
- When the hair becomes entangled or caught in the drain cover, the
person will be caught under water. This risk presents itself when there is no adequate
cover to prevent the suction of hair, inadequate amount of drains for the necessary flow
of the motor pump (s), increased suction force, not following the regulations, incorrectly
dimensioning the system, equipment and pipes.
Limb Entrapment
- Is when a limb is sucked or stuck in an opening, resulting in
mechanical tightness, or swelling. This risk arises when a drain cover leaks, breaks,
loosens, cracks, or is not attached correctly.
Body Entrapment
- When a part of the body is sucked or stuck to the drain cover,
trapping the swimmer underwater. This risk presents itself when there is not an
adequate cover to prevent the body from being trapped, inadequate amount of drains
for the necessary flow of the motor pump (s), increased suction force, not following the
regulations, incorrectly dimensioning the system, equipment and pipes.
Evisceration/Disembowelment
- When a person sits on the drain of a swimming pool,
spa or hot tub and suction is applied directly to the intestines, causing severe intestinal
damage.
Mechanical Entrapment
- When jewelry, swimsuits, hair ornaments, fingers, toes, or
finger joints are captured in an outlet opening or drain cover.
