IDE HDD Block Mode
This item is used to set IDE HDD Block Mode. If your IDE Hard Disk
supports block mode, then you can enable this function to speed up
the HDD access time. If not, please disable this function to avoid
HDD access error.
IDE Primary/Secondary Master / Slave PIO
In this items, there are five modes defined in manual mode and one
automatic mode. There are
0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and AUTO is the default
settings for on board Primary/Secondary Master / Slave PIO timing.
IDE Primary/Secondary Master / Slave UDMA
On this mainboard, Intel 440BX PCIset improves IDE transfer rate
using Bus Master UltraDMA/33 IDE which can handle data transfer up
to 33MB/sec. The options are
Disabled, Enabled and Auto, Auto is the
default settings for on board Primary/Secondary Master / Slave
UltraDMA33 .
Note : Your hard drive must also support UDMA for this feature to
work.
On-Chip Primary/Secondary PCI IDE
As stated above, your system includes two built-in IDE controllers,
both of which operate on the PCI bus. This setup item allows you
either to enable or disable the primary/Secondary controller. You
might choose to disable the controller if you were to add a higher
performance or specialized controller.
