Make certain that the switch is in the “OFF” position, and the source is the same as
that specified on the tool’s nameplate.
a. Connect the tool to the power source.
b. Slide the switch button forward to Start the motor. Slide the switch button to the
rear to stop the motor.

setting the sPeed
The spindle speed can be set with the ad-
justing wheel when the switch is pressed
down fully. The numbers on the adjusting
wheel correspond approximately with the
spindle speeds:
1: 2500 OPm waxing & buffing
2: 3200 OPm waxing & buffing
3: 3900 OPm Polishing & Cleaning
4: 4600 OPm Polishing & Cleaning
5: 5500 OPm removing Paint defects & swirls
6: 6500 OPm removing Paint defects & swirls

Using the POlisher
If your workspace is so light that it can be moved by the rotating pad, anchor it se-
curely to prevent possible bodily injury.
a. Read and follow the directions supplied with the product (polishes, waxes, clean-
ers, etc.)
b. Apply a small amount of the product directly to the polishing pad.
c. Grasp the polisher firmly with both hands - one hand on auxiliary handle and one
on the motor housing.
d. Position the polisher with the polishing pad against the work surface and Start the
polisher. NEVER run or stop the tool when it is not in contact with the work surface.
e. Move the polisher back and forth in a sweeping motion, over-lapping each previ-
ous pass.

f. DO NOT apply additional pressure. Allow the polisher to work under it’s own weight.
g. Do not mix products (wax, polish, cleaner, etc.) on the same pad. Label each pad to
prevent confusion.
h. The polishing pad is designed for product application only. Remove product residue
with a soft cotton cloth.

installing/remOving abrasive disC
To reduce the risk of injury, turn unit off and disconnect it from the power source
before installing and removing accessories, before adjusting or making repairs. An
accidental start-up can cause injury.
a. Place the tool on the work-bench with the pad up.
b. Clean dust from the pad face.
c. Tear a new abrasive disc form the roll and position the disc on the sander pad.
d. Press the disc firmly on the pad.
e. Position the tool with the abrasive contacting scrap material. Start the tool and
operate it momentarily with firm pressure to seat the disc to the pad.
f. Remove the disc by peeling it away from the pad.

Changing the baCk-UP Pad
To reduce the risk of injury, turn unit off and disconnect it from the power source
before installing and removing accessories, before adjusting or making repairs. An
accidental start-up can cause injury.
a. Engage the flats of the spindle with the supplied spindle wrench.
b. While holding the spindle with the wrench, use your other hand to rotate the pad
counterclockwise to remove.
c. To install the pad, reverse the above procedure.
