dual action Polisher
User’s Guide
STEP 4
Be sure Polisher is off. Turn adjusting wheel to a speed of 1 or 2. Press pad against
surface to be polished, and switch Polisher on. Once the polish has absorbed into the
pad, the polisher can be used at a higher speed such as 3 or 4.
STEP 5
To work the polish into the surface, increase the Polisher’s speed to 3 or 4. With pad
flat, apply firm pressure, and slowly move the pad in the pattern shown below. Over-
lap each pass halfway, while polishing up and down, then left to right.
STEP 6
Once you’ve polished enough that only a thin layer of polish remains, you may stop.
Check to see you’ve covered all the areas necessary. The remainder of the polish can
be removed with a microfiber towel.

IMPROVEMENT & MAINTENANCE OF GLOSS
Shurhold’s YachtBrite offer the various compound and premium buffing pads neces-
sary to get the job done. Use of an aggressive pad and compound may remove severe
damage, but the high gloss shine must be achieved with further polishing. A step-
by-step process of aggressive to mild pads and compounds will get the professional
results you demand.
When the surface still looks new, use of mild compounds and pads is all that is
necessary to maintain that new vehicle shine. Polish your boat, car or other vehicle
2-3 times a year to protect it’s surface and shine. For more information visit www.

REMOVAL OF DEFECTS IN PAINT & GEL COAT
Your Shurhold Dual Action Polisher is the perfect tool for removing defects in paint
and gel coat. Defects such as scratches, oxidation, scuffs, chemical etching, swirl
and sanding marks, can be repaired during polishing with the proper pads and com-
pounds. Great attention must be paid to the amount of paint, clear coat and/or clear
coat remains on the surface prior to this process. For more information visit www.

wAxING & BUFFING wITH POLISHER
The benefits of applying wax by machine include speed, even coverage, less waste,
ease of application, ease of removal and brighter shine. Using the pattern described
on the opposite page, apply wax at a speed of 1 or 2 in a thin layer for an easily buffed
surface and high-gloss shine.
You may use a
dry foam pad at a
speed of 1 or 2 or
a dry microfiber
towel to remove
the excess wax.
