Figure 25. Removing sanding belt.
The sanding belt will need to be changed if the
belt ever becomes worn or damaged.
To change the sanding belt, do these steps:
1. UNPLUG THE SANDER!
2.
Remove the work stop bar and cover lock
knobs from the belt guard (
Figure 24 on
table).
3.
Slide belt guard off the sander as shown in
Figure 24 .
4. Release the belt tension by moving the belt
tension lever to the “unlock” position.
5.
Remove sanding belt as shown in
Figure 25
.
6.
Install a new belt with the arrows in the
proper direction (
Figure 25 white arrow),
tension it, and replace the belt guard.

UNPLUG the power cord
when making any adjust-
ments during operation!
Otherwise, serious per-
