MAINTENANCE
5.
The CO
2
concentration in the incubation chamber must be stable in order to perform an accurate
calibration.
•
The unit must be thermally stable, having operated at your application temperature for
at
least 12 hours
prior to starting the gas calibration.
•
After turning on a flow of CO
2
to the chamber and setting the CO
2
setpoint, allow the
incubator to operate undisturbed with the chamber door shut for
at least 2 hours
.
•
To be considered stabilized, the incubator chamber must operate at your calibration CO
2
concentration for
at least 30 minutes with no fluctuations of ±0.1% or greater.

A Suggested CO
2
Calibration
1
Once the incubator CO
2
concentration has stabilized, compare the
reference device and the CO
2
display readings.
•
If the readings are the same, or the difference
between the two falls within the acceptable range of
your protocol, the display is accurately showing the
incubation chamber CO
2
concentration.
The CO
2
Calibration procedure is now complete
.
-OR-
•
If the difference falls outside of your protocol range,
advance to Step 2.
