You can request the sender or receiver of the OBEX data to
authenticate the passcode (exchanging the passcode) before
pairing devices.

Infrared
In order to use the infrared function, you need to search for
other infrared enabled devices to establish contact with your
phone. Keep your phone within a distance of 20 centimetres
from the devices before searching. The infrared setting will
return to off when no data is transmitted/received via infrared
communication.
