Using variables
You can use 27 variables (A-Z and
θ
) in the NORMAL mode. A number
stored as a variable can be recalled either by entering the variable name or
using
t
.
Example 1

• ALPHA appears automatically when you

. You can now enter any
alphabetic character or

(written in blue
above keys in the keypad).

• ALPHA disappears from the display.
You can also store a number directly
rather than storing the result of an expression.
Example 2
Find the area of a circle which has radius R.
Enter an expression containing variable R (now equal to 8) from the last
example.
