MAINTENANCE
CAUTION: Always be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged before attempting to perform
inspection or maintenance.
The tool and its air vents have to be kept clean. Regularly clean the tool’s air vents or whenever the
vents start to become obstructed.

Carbon brush light device and Replacing carbon brushes
When the machine working in the normal condition, the carbon brush light
shows “green”. Remove and check the carbon brushes regularly, when the
carbon brush light shows “red”, please change the carbon brushes timely.
Keep the carbon brushes clean and free to slip in the holders. Both carbon
brushes should be replaced at the same time. Use only identical carbon
brushes.
ACCESSORIES
CAUTION:
These accessories or attachments are recommended for use with your Sharks tool specified in this
manual. The use of any other accessories or attachments might present a risk of injury to persons.
Only use accessory or attachments for its stated purpose.
Your tool is supplied with a guard for use with a depressed center grinding wheel, multi-disc, flex
wheel and wire wheel brush. A cut-off wheel can also be used with an optional guard. If you decide to
use your Sharks grinder with approved accessories which you purchase from your Sharks distributor
or factory service center, be sure to obtain and use all necessary fasteners and guards as
recommended in this manual. Your failure to do so could result in personal injury to you and others.
If you need any assistance for more details regarding these accessories, ask your local Sharks service
center.
NOTICE
• Your electric grinder Sharks is maintenance-free (except for replacement wheels and carbon).
Occasional wipe the case with a handle with a damp cloth soaked in detergent. Clean but not use
solvents that can damage the housing.
• In any case, prevent water from entering the tool!
• If you do not use the grinder deferring it on a flat surface of the removed power cable voltage.
WARNING: make sure that the air vents in the engine body art sander not by dirt or dust. To avoid
overheating the tool and keep more of its full functionality! Failure to act could result in irreversible
damage to the electric motor!
RECOMMENDATIONS: Perform the periodic breaks! With long-term operation of grinders may cause
motor overheating due to inadequate engine cooling air stream. For this reason, follow a regular
routine breaks. Prolong tool life!
• Use only genuine spare parts and accessories, parts replacement must be performed by an
authorized service Sharks.
• If your tool has been greatly stressed, there has been wear and must be replaced, or it has no further
use, tools must hand over to a recycling center for disposal. Contact your nearest collecting yard or
