Now the different sounds can be received and compared with each
other. The sound intensities are displayed on the instrument
(Item 16).
5.1.2 Localization with the ground microphone
For the localization of leaks the sound transmitted by the ground is
picked-up. Between fittings where the highest sound intensities
have been measured the ground microphone will be placed down
in regular distances (Refer to Pict.2).

Proceed as follows:
• Connect ground microphone type DT 3P to the
DUOPHON®
receiver (Item 15),
• Connect earphones (Item 9),
• Turn rotary switch (Item 13) into position 13.3,
• Place ground microphone on the trace,
• Push microphone key (Item 8).
The maximum sound intensity signalizes the leak position.
