Connection to the mains supply

e appliance should only be connected to an
earthed socket installed in accordance with
the regulations. Make sure that the supply
voltage corresponds with the voltage marked
on the rating label. Th

Application
Th
e coff ee maker is designed for brewing
coff ee. It is intended to brew average domestic
quantities of coff ee and is not designed for
commercial applications.
No responsibility is accepted if damage results
from improper use, or if these instructions
are not complied with.

Danger from electric shock
Before the appliance is used, the main

unit as well as any accessory fi tted should
be checked thoroughly for any defects.
Should the appliance, for instance, have
been dropped onto a hard surface, it must
not be used any longer: even invisible
damage may have adverse eff ects on the
operational safety of the appliance.
Always remove the plug from the wall

Do not allow the power cord to hang free;

the cord must be kept well away from hot
parts of the appliance.

and to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical
appliances must be carried out by qualifi ed
personnel, including the replacement of
the power cord.

operation; it remains hot for some time
even aft er switching off .

Always use the handle when handling the
hot carafe.
To prevent the danger of hot water or

steam being emitted, always switch the
coff ee maker off and allow suffi
cient
time for it to cool down before opening
the water container lid or removing any
accessories.
Caution – material damage
Do not allow the appliance or its power

cord to touch hot surfaces or to come into
contact with any heat sources.
During operation, the coff ee maker must

be placed on a level, non-slip surface,
impervious to splashes and stains.
