
Close the cover.
–
Seal the foil by simultaneously pressing
–
both sides of the cover down.
Th
e sealing process is indicated by the
–
green lamp. Once the lamp goes off , the
bag can be removed.
Turn the roll slightly back so that the
–
vacuum/suction nozzle and the sealing
wires are accessible.
Th
e bag may be fi lled up to 3/4 of its
–
capacity. If any liquids are to be sealed
in, the bag should only be fi lled to half
capacity. Do not attempt to remove liquid
matter through the vacuum/suction
nozzle.
Th
e upper edge of the bag, as well as the
z
areas to be sealed, should be clean and
dry.
Position the bag in the unit in such a way,
–
that the vacuum/suction nozzle reaches
well into the bag. When inserting the bag,
the nozzle should be lift ed slightly.
Make sure that the bag is smooth and free
–
of any wrinkles or folds in the areas to be
sealed.
Close the cover and start the suction
–
process by pressing down on the right side
of the cover.
Th
e suction process is indicated by the red
–
lamp.
During suction, the bag should be lift ed
–
up and pulled slightly outwards. In this
way, small air pockets are formed towards
the vacuum/suction nozzle which help
prevent the surfaces of the bag from being
pressed together.
Aft er suction is completed, the sealing
–
process may be started by simultaneously
pressing both sides of the cover fi rmly
down.
Once the green indicator lamp goes off ,
–
the bag may be removed from the unit.
Power cord storage
Th
ere is a wind-up storage for the power cord
on the underside of the unit.
General care and cleaning
Before cleaning the appliance, always
z
remove the plug from the wall outlet.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
z
clean the bag sealer with water and do not
immerse it in water.
To clean the sealing wire of any persistent
–
plastic residues, let the unit run through
one sealing cycle without any bag
inserted.
Replacement bags
Any regular bags of normal thickness (approx
0.03 – 0.06 mm) to a maximum width of 29
cm may be used with this appliance.
Suitable bags are available at most household
stores or may be obtained through the
SEVERIN Service, quoting article no. ZU
3605.
Disposal
Do not dispose of old or defective
appliances in domestic garbage;
this should only be done through
public collection points.
Guarantee
Th
is product is guaranteed against defects
in materials and workmanship for a period
of two years from the date of purchase.
Under this guarantee the manufacturer
undertakes to repair or replace any parts
found to be defective, providing the product
is returned to one of our authorised service
centres. Th
is guarantee is only valid if the
appliance has been used in accordance with
the instructions, and provided that it has not
been modifi ed, repaired or interfered with
by any unauthorised person, or damaged
through misuse.

is guarantee naturally does not cover wear
and tear, nor breakables such as glass and
ceramic items, bulbs etc. Th
is guarantee does
not aff ect your statutory rights, nor any legal
rights you may have as a consumer under
applicable national legislation governing
the purchase of goods. If the product fails
to operate and needs to be returned, pack it
