Description

The Link-400 device allows the user to connect a P400 personal gas

monitor to communicate with a PC using a USB port. The user can then

run the SmartLink software to download logs for easy viewing and

saving. Furthermore, the Link-400 can recharge P400 instruments that

are equipped with the NiMH battery packs.

This device can be powered directly from a computer’s USB port or from

an external 5V wall adapter. Each method has distinct advantages.

When connected to a PC USB port, the Link- 400 can transfer recorded

data from the P400. Connections to the two power supplies result in

the following functionalities:

USB port
• Download logs via SmartLink software
• Longer recharge time (7.5 hrs.)
• P400 can use either alkaline or NiMH pack

External 5V supply
• No PC communication
• Faster recharge time (4 hrs.)
• Only useful with NiMH packs
