If the type of the connected encoder is PNP, the "

P/N

" terminal (see the next figure) results connected

to the "

+

" terminal of the DB-15 connector.

In case in which is required to change externally the active mode to APX 700, you must select in the
first place through the function

FN + 5

(setting mode (cycle) selection type) the option 1 (EXTERNAL).

Then, connect the input terminals (M0÷M3) in according to the encoder type used (PNP or NPN) like
shown below:
