been assigned to any previously calcu-
lated destination. This function directs
you straight to a destination such as a
highway rest area or the airport and
activate the route guidance to that loca-
tion.

This special destination is based on an
existing selected destination. This func-
tion can be used, for instance, to facili-
tate the search for parking in a large
unknown city.

on the close by destinations to the pre-

by means of alphabetically stored land-
marks. The system offers you the choice
between several landmarks for the differ-
ent special destinations:

Once you have selected your landmark,
